MeLinda Schnyder

Journalist & Content Creator

MeLinda Schnyder is a journalist and content creator who grew up in Columbia, Missouri, and earned a journalism degree from the University of Missouri. She's lived in Wichita, Kansas, since 1994 and enjoys writing about travel, aviation, business, sports and animal welfare issues.

Two of her most memorable assignments involved writing about Veterans Airlift Command and Pilots 'n Paws – two non-profits that recruit general aviation pilots to donate their aircraft and time to truly make a difference in the world. A self-proclaimed Associated Press Stylebook nerd, MeLinda started her career as a sports journalist and had the chance to interview Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Joe Montana and tennis great Martina Navratilova, along with a host of collegiate players. She admits to having developed an adventure addiction in her 40s – skydiving, driving a NASCAR race car, riding the tallest water slide in the world and walking on a 5-foot ledge 116 stories above Toronto for EdgeWalk, the world's highest external walk on a building.
